Accendo Incidents™ Details

The Accendo Incidents module is a one-of-a-kind incident and crime reporting application, allowing users to store and analyze incidents on maps and floor plans. Identifying the locations of crimes and incidents is the only proven way to recognize dangerous and hazardous trends at the earliest possible time. This functionality allows organizations to wisely and efficiently spend their scarce security and safety resources by pinpointing areas requiring the most attention.

Through extensive research, SFW has designed an incident reporting tool built according to each organization's needs and specifications. The tool eliminates redundancies in data entry and streamlines the incident reporting process.

Benefits of using Accendo Incidents

The main benefits of using an incident report system is the reduction of exposure to risk and the efficient allocation of security and safety resources. Additional important advantages include:
  • Identifying hazardous trends at the earliest possible time. This enables organizations to provide the most appropriate mitigation. Showing a proactive approach to safety can significantly reduce the losses from litigated cases by avoiding punitive damages.
  • Eliminating redundancies and sharing vital information in real time. Insurance professionals in the REIT industry suggest that reporting an incident within the first 48 hours can significantly reduce potential related loss.
  • Complying with various regulations and standards. The Cleary Act requires educational facilities to manage incidents and report their exact locations. Other facilities, such as in the manufacturing industry, are required to manage safety incidents according to OSHA regulations.

The Accendo Incidents module allows users to completely customize the application to their existing methodology, including:
  • Creating their own customized incident and crime type or modeling them to follow departmental standards, such as those for the FBI UCR (Uniformed Crime Report), the local police department, an insurance carrier or a combination of multiple models
  • Adding custom fields to specific incidents, such as describing "shoe type" when dealing with a slip-and-fall incident
  • Adding custom potential contributing factors to an incident or a crime, such as:
    • No light
    • Slippery surface
    • Broken Lock
    • Poor Visibility
    • ... etc.
  • Adding descriptions of each participant's role in the incident:
    • Perpetrator
    • Witness
    • Subject
    • Victim
    • Security Officer
    • ... etc.
  • Adding custom damages, costs, injuries and other relevant information required by different departments within an organization and by external entities, such as insurance companies and legal counsel

SFW's research revealed that every organization has a different way of managing incidents and crime, which is typically effected by multiple internal and external stakeholders. Therefore, an off-the-shelf incident reporting system often will not work. Accendo's Incidents module was specifically designed to address this issue.
