The SFW Issues module is a robust, customizable, analytical engine that gives users the ability to:

The SFW Issues module is designed to keep a log of daily operational activities that, when analyzed, provides detailed information on how to run a more efficient and effective facilities operation (maintenance, asset management, helpdesk and other supporting services). The SFW Issues model includes a customized workflow, which may be adjusted to any type of business regardless of its size and industry. Some of the main functions include:
  • Creating an unlimited number of issue types, work orders and other service related issues
  • Providing a variety of access levels and user groups based on:
    • Issue types a user can view or work with
    • Workflow stages (one user may be able to only submit issues, while another may assign issues and verify their completion)
    • Assets that a user is allowed to view
    • The location of the issue and the relative restrictions of the user

Allowing clients to introduce different access levels is a key feature in a well-designed work order system. Creating the appropriate access levels allows the user to see everything they need. Well-designed access levels reduce confusion and increase confidentiality and accountability, such as:

  • Allowing users to relate actual assets to a particular issue or a work order. Related assets are graphically displayed on the facility maps and drawings, eliminating the possible confusion over which asset needs attention.
  • Maintaining logs of all significant activities and a history of a particular issue/work order.
  • Attaching files that may assist users in resolving a particular issue or assignment.
  • Generating a detailed work order PDF with physical maps that may be shared internally and with service providers that may be required to participate in resolving an issue.
  • Allowing users to retrieve an asset's entire work history.
  • Managing all issues and work orders through an easy to use "dashboard" that sorts issues using an unlimited number of customized filters. Each user may create his/her own filters (i.e., "show me all of the issues that were assigned to me," or "show me all of the issues that I need to assign to others").
